Well, I apologize, it has been a really long time since I have blogged. My bad. But better late, than never. I have been studying like crazy. In fact I should be studying for finals right now, but I decided to do this instead. I put some random pictures on to give you an idea of my life. As you can see, this is a picture of me coming home from church being followed by a horse and buggy. Awesome. As some of you may recognize, a few pictures down below is the Penn state Nittnany lion, that i am strangling. I still have some harbored feelings for the Nittany Lions. It's hard to let go O.K.? Actually, I decided I needed to go see them play, being that they have not lost a game.... that's right, not a match, but a game. They are truly undefeated. I had to see them play for myself. They are good. It was fun.

Once upon a time in a land far, far away, I took a weekend off!!! Ah, good story! i finally went and saw it. Wicked was phenomenal and i loved it! it was so good, i think everyone should see it.... or at least listen to me sing it :) J/K
This was outside Gershwin Theatre before we went in to see the best show ever!
This was my first time to New York! I loved it. We weren't there very long, so I need to go back

Gettysburg

I know it's been i long time since I've done this. I can't believe how time flies. I saw Frankie's trip to New York though, and it instilled a new "blogger fever" in me.
Anyway, I finally decided I needed to start doing some things while I was out here, or I was going to be home and not done one thing. So I went to Gettysburg. It was a nice start on my list of little adventures. My roomate, Katie, one of classmates, and I drove down one Sat. We saw the visitors center and headed out to see the battle fields. Holy Moly, it was kind of amazing just how vast the area was. One day was plenty for me, just in case anyone decided to make a trip out of it after my elaborate and detailed description. It was pretty cool to see and to say I've done that. Just for an update. . . . school is good. It's hard. I'ts hard to stay focused especially at a pace like this. I'm tired, I'm not gonna lie. I'm already looking forward to X-mas. But thats ok. I heard once "it's the hard that makes it great" :)

I was helping Abe and his buddy figure it all out. They looked confused. So I was showing them the way

Gettysburg

This is the Gettysburg Address. If anybody pronounced in Get-ees-burg like I did, we were mistaken as I quickly learned. Apparently it's pronounced Get-iss-burg. I'm not sure if I really believe that, but that's what the "locals" say.

I hope you never have to "Dew" this

So here is the real reason for my post...... I have continually been telling people how busy I am. I'm sure they think, ya, well so am I, which they probably are. However, I had an experience today that truly explains my situation. I bought a new pack of pens 2 weeks ago for school. I have been using the same pen for 2 weeks. I don't actually take notes with these pens because I take notes in class on my computer. However, I do use them to make note cards with, so I can study. Today, my pen that I bought 2 weeks ago.... ran out. Yes, it's true, it RAN OUT! I have never in my entire life had a pen run out me, let alone in 2 weeks. I believe this is truly an amazing feat. I know what you're thinking though ... I sure hope Wendy's hand is ok. Well, don't you worry, I ice at night, stretch in the morning and before I go to bed. FALSE. But that would be funny if I really did do that.

these are just some pics of my room. I know it's messy, but that is the least of my worries at this point.

Definately "DEW" Palmyra

Sorry for delay in posting my trip. I'm definately not still on the road. I made it to PA, but my first week was so crazy I haven't had time to finnish posting about our trip.
Well, if you haven't ever been to Palmyra, I would definately suggest it. It was amazing. It was so peaceful and the spirit is so strong, I didn't want to leave (that could be in part that our next stop was Lock Haven, PA :) ) The sacred grove was awesome. It's so quite and beautiful. I loved it. We didn't get to do a session at the temple because you have to take your own clothes. And as most of you know, there was not getting one more thing into that poor little ford known as Elphi.
We visited the hill Cumorah, the Smith's farm and house, the sacred grove, and the E.B. Grandin print shop where the Book of Mormon was printed. All in all, it was a great place to visit and refill my spiritual tank to head into the real world of being a "peculiar person."

The Smith's log cabin and the original fence Joseph would have hopped to get to the sacred grove.

Niagra Falls

It is soooo good to be back in the USA!!!!!!! Ok, so we only crossed over into Canadia for one night, but it's still good to be back on US soil. I totally felt like a foreigner over there. :)
Ya know, I thought at first, "How in the world would anyone get the idea to go over Niagra Falls in a barrel?" And then I saw the Falls in real life and thought, " O, I guess I can understand how that might be intriguing." I would never actually do it, but it wasn't quite as ridiculously high as I thought. It was pretty cool to see and practice my modeling shots with all the natural winds and mists.

"Is this Heaven? No, it's Iowa" One of the best movie quotes ever. I can see how someone might get confused though. . . . .False! The only thing in Iowa is fields. So unless you are a cow and eating grass is heaven to you, Iowa is NOT heaven. So we've spent 3 full days in the car. What an experience. It actually hasn't been too bad. I've almost enjoyed it. I've sang (by sang, I mean at the top of my lungs or in latin pulmonary. I studied a little inbetween musicals) wicked, sound of music, newsies, les mis, sister act 2, and a little yodling something or other thanks to Dad. I think I'm ready to hit broadway! We stayed in Iowa for a night, just in case it was heaven and we were missing something, and then continued on to Michigan. Tomorrow we're on to Ohio.

You can "Dew" anything

So who knew Wyoming is as really desolate as everyone jokes about? I'll tell you what, I sure didn't! I guess I've never really been though Wyo before, but it is baren. The only good thing about crossing the desolate state, (ps. if anyone is ever worried about over population again, there's plenty of room in Wyo) was that we got to see Trever. Sad, I know, that all of us were actually congregating in Wyo. However, it was very fun. Buddins had already taken a lunch break, because he forgot we were coming, thanks by the way, so he just took a second one. However, when we arrived the car was so jammed packed we couldn't fit him in. He was too chicken to ask his boss to borrow his car, considering he was on his 2nd lunch, so we made it work in the Ford!

"So long, farewell, Auf Wiedersehen, A'Dew'"

The time has finally come and I'm leaving. However, before it came time for me to bounce, my awesome, awesome friends decided to get together and have a little going away party at Macaroni Grill. It was so fun to be with everyone and have a chance to say "see ya later." We talked, we laughed, we reminisced about the good ol' days. It was fantastic. Then of course we watched old volleyball videos at Frankie's house, remembering the days when BYU volleyball ruled the country. Ha Ha just kidding those dang Ninnany..... I mean Nittany Lions! Anyway, it was a great night. Thanks guys! It was a blast.

Let's "Dew" This

Well, the time has come for me to begin a blog. Now that I'm going to move out of my parents house (to Pennsylvania), I guess I'll have something to write about. Once I get there, maybe not so much, but our adventure out there should be a treat. I believe we will be starting our journey on May 8.

As a precursor for this blog, you may need to know I'm single, LDS, and from Utah. Thus, one can only strive to become the best they can be....... and as we all know, what better example than Sheri Dew. In my singleness, I've chosen to embrace my "Dewness" and move forward. This is in no regards a "mockery" towards the original Dew (Sheri Dew), but merely an attempt to become more like a fantastic role model and examplar for single women of the church.
